Thane based Aplab Ltd. with a UPS turnover of 68.00 crore have clinched the coveted SD’s No.5 Power Electronic Company of the year award. The company netted revenues of Rs. 68.00 crores, which was just 60 lakhs more then what it registered in 2006-2007. In the market where margins are shrinking by the day, Aplab has adopted an approach where they have gone for deals where there is sufficient margin to provide un-interrupted After Sales Service. So Aplab may not have great numbers to show, but is has certainly been a more profitable year.

All of 68 crores was thru sale of online UPS systems. Making it the SD’s 4th largest Online UPS company in the country. Of the Online UPS sold 5% were below 3 kVA, while 3 to 10 kVA range accounted for 53% while 42.00% of online sales revenue came through sale of UPSs above 10kVA range. The company has specialized in DSP controlled UPSs. Company’s Rack Mounted UPS designed with technical inputs from Ward of China is gaining very high popularity.
