Bangalore based Power-One Micro System established in 1992 has grown into
one of the leading manufacturer of online UPS systems in the country. The
company is the SD's No. 6 Power Electronic Company of the year.
The company netted a turnover of 134.85 crores up from 119.20 crore it
had in 2017-18. The company is in a positive frame of mind as it has opted
for pick & choose policy where the company avoided lots of tenders as they
were being taken at throw-away-prices this has not only increased its
profitability but also shows that company is now focused and determined to
do well. The company recently collaborate with ABB India Pvt. Ltd.
The company decided to concentrate on few but quality product and
customers, as is visible from the fact that Company was awarded the
National Award For Quality, by Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium
Enterprises, Govt. of India. The company is buoyant with its performance in
its first two quarters of 2013-14. The company has been bestowed with ISO
9001:2015, ISO 14001 : 2007, ISO 18000: 2004 & ISO 500001 and IEC
certifications from TUV Rhineland. The company's "in-House R&D" has
recognition from Ministry of Science and Technology one of the rarity
amongst the UPS manufacturers.
The company has also shifted its focus on Solar PCUs. The company's
prod uct are tested and approved by TUV Rhineland In order to up-keep high
quality in their products every facet of manufacturing process is carried
out in-house and nothing is vended out. This quality control methodology
goes down to the purchase section where every compo nent is subjected to
100% checks, at the in coming stage without any compro mise. The company
uses only products from premium brands to be used in its SPCUs.
The company to its credit has won major orders from Minor Irrigations,
Govt of Karnataka, M.P Urja, NREDCAP, TNREDCL, UREDA, Agency for Non-
Conventional Energy & Rural Technology, BEL, Commercial Tax Department,
Tekmak, Karnataka University, CESCOM, LW Constructions, Manipal University,
HCL Computers, BSEDC-Bihar. The companies major installations include names
like Bihar State Government, KREDL, JREDA, TEDA, ANERT,CESCOM, Wipro, New &
Renewable Energy Development Corporation A.P., HCL, Tera Soft, TTK Health
Care, ABB, Hutch, Motorola, Ericsson among others. Major OEM Client are
National Aeronautical Laboratory, ISRO, DRDO, BEML, BEL, HAL, ABB, TCS,
Govt of Karnataka, Minor Irrigation, Govt of Karnataka, ISRO, Aeronautical
Development Agency to name a few.
