Hitachi which went for major re-positioning in the last three

This teaming up has worked wonders for the company but not that much in
the UPS field but has started emphasizing as the company started giving
more emphasis on Drives, Solar power control unit & Hybrid Inverter
which are very successful. They have set up a huge plant in Sanand,
Gujarat. This year Softdisk estimates the company to have done
exceedingly well inspite of having severe Covid conditions in their
state.

policy has come good to evaluate the unknown to a certain extent.
Fuji Electric has to under go lots of formalities post acquirement,
as a process took time it was busy completing the process by required by
government & could not concentrate on sales in 2019-20. Had a relatively
a very good year in 2020-2021, the company netted revenues worth INR
484 crores, a growth of 128 crores over previous year an increase of
nearly 36% yet retaining the SD's No. 2 Power Electronic Company of the
year crown. However Fuji Electric Consul's are also the SD's No.2 Online
UPS company of the year with UPS sales amounting to 279.00 crores. All
these makes Fuji Electric Consul's - A high growth company, especially
in the wake of expansion of the already existing unit. Such a massive
performance even during pandemic period speaks volumes about the
company.
Next in the league was the was a company, maintaining its businesses
successfully making it to the 3rd spot in the SD's top 10 club,
Kolkatta based Switching AVO Electro Power Ltd. Switching with a revenue
of 218.32 crores & emerged as SD's No. 3 Power Electronic Company of the
year. Although Switching AVO didn't drop a bit lot due to pandemic but
slightly missed the last years turnover less then a percent. However the
balance sheet suggested increased profits.
Under severe pandemic conditions a turnover of over 200 crores

2020-21, BPE netted revenues to the tune of 173.00 crores up from

when most companies are showing a dip. As such the

2020-21. The entire turnover accounted for the sale of online UPSs
making it the SD's No. 3 Online UPS Company of the year.

No. 6 Power Electronic Company of the Year. Last year the company had
netted revenues to the tune of 123.68 crores, a dip as faced by most
companies because of lockdown considering the average industry growth
too dipped by nearly 2.00%. Company's tagline is to save the bottom
line. For the 3rd consecutive year the company crossed the turnover of
100 crores and that to without compromising on margins speaks volumes
about the quality and acceptance of their products.
Next in line are the Hykon India Limited, a Thrissur, Kerala based
company which jumped two spots to emerge as the SD's No.7 Power
Electronic Company of the year and 81.82 crores as against 72.68 crores

generated thru line interactive sales.
Next up are Delhi based Uniline Energy Systems Pvt. Ltd. retained its
claim of SD's No 8 spot in this years SD Rankings too. Uniline netted
revenues to the tune of 66.00 crore. Which is quite a dip as compared to
previous year. Uniline are also the leading Govt. suppliers of UPSs in
the country. Drop in revenues as compared to 2019-20 was not very
significant to displace it from its 8th rank.
(A company dipping by around 20% and still maintaining its rank
are visible sign of dipping industry revenue, however there are
companies have prospered during this period there by this big a dip is
not visible in the overall industry revenue.)
Next in the line were the Arvi systems & Controls Pvt. Ltd. A new
entrant to the SD's Top 10 group. The company registered a revenue of

Last on list were the new entrant, Guwahati based Better Power
Services Pvt. Ltd. The company grabbed the last spot in the SD's Top 10
Ratings, company netted a turn over of 16.98 crore in 2020-21.
Conclusion: The 2020-21 can be termed as a relatively harsh
year for the SD's Top 10 UPS Companies. Some of the UPS companies grew
however overall industry revenue dropped by nearly 2 percent. All is not
worse when we see the third quarter proceedings of fiscal 2021-22. We
are sure industry revenue was cross 6800 crores by March 2022.
