entrant Hycon India Pvt. Ltd., A Thrissur, Kerala based company which
netted revenues to the tune of 41.90 crores making it the SD’s No. 10

Conclusion: The Slowdown trends was visible
among few of the top 10 companies barring one or two company which did
exceptionally well, with margin squeezed as volume wise there is increase
in sales of almost all the companies. In all 682 companies were reached,
here it is worth mentioning that many manufacturer have switched their
line of business owing to severe price pressure. It’s a volume game with
small margins, only the bigger and better will survive. Another visible
trend adopted by many a regional majors is the pick & choose method
adopted by companies. Regional players are playing in their own niche
market where the biggies do not interfere. Slowdown has only taken the
rosy freshness out of the business, but the scent still remains.
These rankings are limited to the companies responding
to our survey and data provided by them.
