Bangalore based Techser netted revenue to the tune of 22.66 crores up from 16.79 crores it had netted in the year 2005-06, a growth of over 33% which is well above the total industry growth 18%, making it the SD’s No. 10 Power Electronic Company of the year. Definitely a very good year by the previous year standards.

The company manufactures online UPS systems from 0.5 to 60kVA at its Bangalore based plant and more recently the company has also started manufacturing from its Parwanoo based facility. This will save company from 16% of excise and hence the company stands a very good chance of improving its ranking in the coming year. This year the company installed and commissioned 4290 unit of online UPS systems.

Techser is an ISO-9001:2000 certified company, and is highly quality conscious. At Techser top priority is given to quality of the product. The quality control mechanism goes down to the purchase level, every component is tested before being com-missioned for incorporation in product. This year Techser joined hands with Autometers, which has technical collaboration with Powertronix, a leading European manufacturer.

For Techser, year 2005-06 was a year wherein they tried to concentrate on consolidating their position in the market rather than expanding their business. Hence their goal was to position their products in niche market like SME and strengthening our support/manufacturing infrastructure rather than aiming at higher turnover. Techser believes that people are simply carried away by price tags rather than compatibility of these kits to our country. Techser therefore will focus on bringing out products which suits our power and environment conditions so that the company can sustain the growth over a long time. There is a definite shift in the type of clientele which Techser catered to in 2004-05. Some of the major installations include Prasar Bharti (500 VA, 35 Nos.), Transport Department (5kV, 14 Nos.), Zenith computers (3 kVA, 163 Nos.), Karnataka State improvement project (1 to 3 kVA, 325 Nos.), (SBI Zonal Office Pune 20 kVA), Prognosys Medical Systems (1kVa 25 Nos.), BOI (5 kVA 3 Nos.), SB of Mysore CSD Head Office (3+3 kVA Parallel Redundant, 44 Nos.), LIC (10 kVA 39 Nos.) Nalito Systems, HCL Comnet among others.
